How to calculate overall fuel economy of hydraulic hybrid vehicle? Know that fuel economy formula is litre per used over distance travelled. How to calculate the fuel used for both ICE and hydraulic system

Solutions

Expert Solution

The fuel economy of any automobile is calculated as distance travelled and amount of fuel consumed by vechicle.Consumption is defined in terms of volume of fuel to travel a distance ao distance travelled per unit volume of fuel consumed.Hybrid hydraulic vechicles uses prsserized fluid poer source along with along with a conventional internal combustion engine.to acheive improvement in fuel economy.Hydraulic hybrid system consists of four main components working fluid ,reservoir, pump and accumulator.

Fuel economy is the relationship between distance travelled and fuel used. Vechicles fuel consumption is defined as US gallons per 100 miles. In automobiles Brake specific fuel consumption is used to evaluate the efficiency of internal combustion engines.Amount of fuel used is usually measured on dynmometer as a mass flow rate. There is a need to calculate power to drive ratio for hydraulic systems.Than a ratio of electric power and ICE power should be assumed. For example 10 % of electric power. Knowing the efficiency of ICE engine necessary amount of fuel can be esstimated.

Consider the market for the Toyota Prius, which is a hybrid, fuel efficient vehicle. For each of the following scenarios, use the supply and demand model to explain how you would expect the market equilibrium price and quantity traded to change for the Prius market. You should explain which side of the market (supply, demand, or possibly both) is likely to be affected, and indicate on a graph any shifts in the curves that might occur. (a) The price of...

Is there a formula to quickly calculate amortized interest? I know how to do it for each individual payment period (interest= [principle amount]x[interest rate]) and subtracting the amount of the payment that goes towards the principle, and doing it over and over again. However, this process takes too long once you get more payment periods. I am trying to answer the following question: Q: You have paid for 20 years of your 30 year mortgage and make monthly payments of...
