Determine the mode of the frequency distribution given below?

Determine the mode of the frequency distribution given below?

x:  1,   2,   3,   4

f:   2,  3,  10,  4

Solutions

Expert Solution

The frequency distribution given is:

x:  1,   2,   3,   4

f:   2,  3,  10,  4

From the frequency distribution, we can see that

value 1 occurs twice,

value 2 occurs thrice,

value 3 occurs ten times, and

value 4 occurs four times.

So it is x= 3 that is present in maximum number of times and thus mode = 3.

It is x= 3 that is present in maximum number of times and thus mode = 3.

Find the mean, median, and mode for the scores in the following frequency distribution table: X f 5 2 4 5 3 2 2 3 1 0 0 2 The mean (to two decimal places) is   , the median is   , and the mode is   . Based on the three values for central tendency, what is the most likely shape for this distribution of scores? The distribution is    because the mean is   the median and the median is      the mode.
