Expert Solution

Inductance is the property of an electrical conductor. It is the measure of emf (electromotive force) induce in electrical conductor when a current change through conductor. Electrical coil is the example for this. When emf is measure in a coil due to current through itself, it is known as seld induction and when emf is measured in other nearby coil, the induction is known as mutual induction.

Series R-L circuit has two component resistance (R) and inductor (L) in series with voltage source V. All coils, inductors, chokes and transformers are example of R-L circuit.

Series L-C circuit has two component capacitor (C) and inductor (L) in series with voltage source V. Resonant circuit, tuned circuit, tank circuit are exaple of L-C circuit.

Series L-C-R circuit has three component capacitor (C), inductor (L) and resistor (R) in series with voltage source V. Oscillators are example of L-C-R circuit. Radio receivers and television sets use LCR circiut to tune a narrow frequency range.

I will be glad to see your comment if you have any query. Thanks...
