In chickens, a large comb is dominant over a small comb. The gene for comb size is located on an autosome and large combs are inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion. However, roughly 10% of chickens that have the large comb allele nevertheless have a small comb. This is an example of...

1. Incomplete penetrance
According to the question, large allele is dominant over small allele. But still 10% of the progeny with large allele have small comb. It is because of incomplete penetrance of the large allele. Because of incomplete penetrance, the trait is not able to express itself completely in a given population.
Codominance is the type of inheritance in which two alleles are equally dominant over one another and therefore express equally. In heterozygotes, a variegated phenotype is obtained.
Pleiotropy is the condition in which one gene controls many phenotypes.
2. Law of independent assortment
According to the law of independent assortment, the alleles of different genes assort independently of each other during gamete formation so that every gamete receive one allele of a gene.
According to the law of segregation, alleles of a given gene separate independently of each other so that every gamete receives one allele of a gene.
