Supply Chain - Supply chain operations are basically transportation of ram materials from the vendors/ suppliers to the organization and shipment/ dispatch of finish goods from the organization to customer warehouse locations. This requires high skill set on transportation & logistics processes for management of shipments of materials from one location to another location.

Manager of Quality: This is the manager in the organization, who is responsible for management of the quality in the organization. Thus the quality of parts is ensured by the quality manager. The role of quality manager is to have good processes at the plant which ensures that the quality is being ensured for the incoming parts and outgoing parts.

Supply chain framework is the shipment of parts from vendors to the plant and dispatch of finish goods from plant to customers. Thus the quality manager needs to ensure the quality as per supply chain model as below

  • Ensure quality of incoming materials: As per the supply chain inward process, the quality manager needs to ensure that quality of the in coming parts is ensured and the incoming parts are meeting the desired quality standards. Thus this will assure that the incoming quality to the plant is OK.
  • Ensure quality of outgoing finished goods: The quality manager will ensure that the quality of the finished products will be as per the standards and OK. Then this will ensure that the outgoing supply chain model will have the right quality levels of the products shipped from the plant and will reach to customers with right quality.

Thus the quality manager will ensure that the quality of materials as per supply chain framework models is acceptable.
