A living will is a will which a state uses when a person is not able to execute functions because of terminal illness or some other medical treatment which states person will on how he wishes to continue his medical treatment in case he is in vegetative position and no more able to take actions for his own. It also tell the medical staff that whether person wish to die naturally without use of any extraordinary life support measures. The requirement of living will in Indiana are that an individual must be competent, and second he/she voluntarily wants to draft a document of living will without any external pressure and the person needs to sign the document in the presence of 2 witnesses who are above 18 years and are competent enough and in case person is not able to sign the will by himself he can assign someone to do that. A living will is a good thing because in most situations person may not be able to express the pain and wishes to end the life but since if no such thing is present health care professional cannot take any actions and so individual in right state of mind is making such documents he is doing something which he knows is best for himself and so it is a good thing to have a living will beforehand because an individual knows how much he/she wants to suffer further it saves the money and daily suffering of other family members who i hope that person will get up is not able to function properly.
