How do the elderly populations in Kentucky and Pennsylvania differ from elderly populations in Florida? How does this affect health care and the practice of medicine?
Florida is one of the nation's grayest states.
It has larger share of residents who are above 65...as compared to Kentucky which has elderly population of 16.4% of total population..,Pennsylvania has 18.2% ..and Florida has largest share..20.5%.

Needs of resources increases .
Elderly have more complex problems chronic diseases like cancer diabetes heart disease, they have more number of fall injuries, so it increases the demands for health care services.
Diversity of care givers laga behind the growing diversity of patients..
Older persons use more health services than younger counterparts as they have more health problems they are hospitalized more often and have more longer lengths of stay than younger...which increases their financial demand s,and demands for better government policies for retirement, pensions..sustainability.
Elderly are more likely to suffer from chronic illnesses like cancer, diabetes heart disease and so there is greater demand for health care and social care..
Managing these chronic conditions along with patient's level of disability increases the financial demands on HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.
