01. How can we increase the PMMA and SU8 bonding after spin coating? Is there any method and / or protocol available?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The bonding strength dependence on bonding temperature . A maximum bonding strength of 16 MPa is achieved at bonding temperatures between 110 °C and 120 °C, at a bonding force of 2000 N on a 4 inch wafer.

high bonding strengths at low bonding temperatures. The bonding strength dependence on bonding temperature, in the range between 50 °C and 150 °C, and bonding forces of 1000 N and 2000 N on a 4 inch wafer are investigated.

The maximum bonding strength is in both cases obtained at a bonding temperature between 110 °C and 120 °C, which is just above the glass transition temperature of PMMA, Tg = 105 °C.At higher bonding temperatures and forces the bonding strength becomes nearly constant

How can we increase the likelihood of the scale effect dominating as automation continues to spread? One of the most cited downsides to automation of production is the loss of jobs. However, as we discuss in class and read about in The Automation Paradox, this is not always the case. Counterintuitively, automation can in fact lead to more jobs. This is primarily the result of the scale effect. The increased productivity of automation leads to cheaper products, leading to higher...

You will estimate how much slower an ice skater would spin, if a can of soda dropped into her hand while she was spinning. You may model her body as a vertical cylinder of radius 20 cn abd nass 50 kg, spinning about a vertical axis. Assume that shes initially spinning 10 times per second, so that initially wi=20pis-1. Suddenly she is handed the soda can, which is small enough that we can model it as a point-like mass of...
