Explain the characteristics of different joints explain briefly ,with neat sketch. thanks you
A revolute joint (also called pin joint or hinge joint) is a one-degree-of-freedom kinematic pair used in mechanisms.Revolute joints provide single-axis rotation function used in many places such as door hinges, folding mechanisms, and other uni-axial rotation devices. (They do not allow translation, or sliding linear motion.)
ball-and-socket joint-
a natural or manufactured joint or coupling, such as the hip joint,
in which a partially spherical end lies in a socket, allowing
multidirectional movement and rotation.
SLIDING JOINT-
It is a joint in which sliding contact is maintained between them .
