What pressure distribution? How does it relate to drag and lift coefficients?
Pressure distribution:
Every aeroplane consists certain standard aerofoils (naca series) at certain angle of attack. At an angle of attack will have what is called a pressure distribution (simply pressure at all points around an aerofoil ).
Effect on drag :
When there is body in the flow medium, it creates pressure differences at front and back side of the body (higher pressure at front and lower pressure at back side). Due to these pressure differences there will push towards back side of the body which is called drag.
Effect on lift :
Due to the shape of the body when there is flow medium (in case of planes) there will be creation of higher pressure at bottom side and lower pressure at top side of the body. Thus there will be lift on the body.
Like this pressure will effect drag and lift
