Disney decided it was in their best interest to purchase Fox Studios because Disney decided to launch its own streaming service. By purchasing Fox Studio, it revealed in an event to show the public Disney+, the new streaming service. In such services, the content from National Geographic as well as many other Fox properties will be included. Thus the Disney decided it was in their best interest to purchase Fox as it adds values in its streaming services. Buying the Fox studio would give the company lots of capacity and a larger amount of content. Disney might have less content than other streaming channels like Netflix but buying Fox studio's film and TV studio would certainly help fill that gap for the company. Buying Fox Studion teams Disney has bought many movies and Tv series that are popular on fox studio to earn a great market share and revenue. Buying Fox properties can give Disney a stronger base to build its digital business, which is a matter of need for traditional media companies
