Any 10 examples of dot product and any 10 examples of cross product for physics
DOT PRODUCT: When two vectors are multiplied with each other and the result is a scalar (i.e., No direction) quantity then itt is called dot product.
Examples:
Workdone W = Force . Distance
Power = Force . Velocity
Electric Flux = Electric intensity . Area
A . B = B . A
i . i = 1 & i . j = 0
VECTOR PRODUCT : When two vectors are multiplied with each other and the result is a Vector (i.e., direction) quantity then itt is called vector product.
Examples:
Torque = Force X Radius
Velocity (Tangential) = Radius X Angular Velocity
Force on a charge in magnetic field = charge Velocity X Magnetic Field
A X B = l A l l B l sin Theta X Unit Vector ( According to Right Hand Rule)
A X B = - B X A
i X J = K & J X i = - k
