State your hypothesis for Experiment 1 here:

Due to natural selection, rabbits with the brown fur trait will be less likely to survive predation by wolves within the artic environment because the brown fur trait of these rabbits are easier to spot in a white (artic) environment causing the wolves to be able to hunt them easier. In contrast, the rabbits with the white fur trait can easily camouflage and adapt to their environment causing the wolves to have a difficult time to find prey.

hypothesis for Experiment 1

4. Does the data in the table above support your hypothesis for this experiment?

yes, it supports hypothesis for this experiment as you can see in each generation there more white rabbits survived as compared to brown rabbits as brown fur trait will be less likely to survive predation by wolves within the artic environment ( which is white environment).

Percentage calculation of Brown Rabbits is so less in each generation with respect to the total number of rabbits but apposite to this Percentage calculation of white Rabbits is more with respect to the total number of white and brown rabbits. in this data %, White Rabbits is all above 95 % and three generations percentage of white rabbit is approx 100 %.

5. Explain how the fur color trait was influenced by natural selection in your experiment.

Natural selection is a key mechanism of evolution where organisms with favorable traits is more likely to reproduce.

so according to the above statement in an arctic environment where because of white-colored snow the white rabbit's fur color is favored as they can easily camouflage and adapt to their environment causing the wolves to have a difficult time finding prey. but the brown color fur color has the opposite effect as they are not able to camouflage and adopt to that artic environment so less likely to survive predation by wolves. so in next generation there will be more white rabbits reproduced and less brown rabbits less likely reproduce. as white fur colr is favored trait.
