what affects gaseous tissue
Tissue gas is the name given to action of bacteria Clostridum perfringens in dead bodies. its effects on the deceased is that of an extreamely accellerated decomposition. it is only haltered by embalming the body using special additive chemicals. It most commonly occures in bodies of people who have died of gangrene, large decubitus ulcers, necrotising fasciitis.
Bacteria cause myonecrosas by specific exotoxins. these micro organisms are opportunistic and in general enter the body through skin breakage. Gangreneous infection by soil borne bacteria was common in combat injuries of soldiers because of non sterile field surgery.
Gas gangrene can cause myonecrosis(muscle tissue death), gas production, sepsis. progression to toxemia and shocked is often very rapid. it can easily be noticed by large blackened sores and degree of loud and distinctive crepitus caused by gas escaping by necrotic tissue.
