How does politics influence international business? Does the political environment have more impact than the economic environment? Why or why not? What is your position on bribery in international business? What is your position on the protection of intellectual property rights in international business? Should fake or counterfeit products be banned? If so, how?
Politics influence international business up to a very large extent. It all depends on the politics and on the government of any particular nation that decides the nature of the economy that whether it stays open or close or open up to what extent, what would be the barrier on trade if any etc.
As political environment influences the economic environment as well, it surely is more important.
There is definitely bribery in international business whatever firm is ready to pay more of political support in international entry gets easy entry and easy market for their product as well.
Intellectual property rights should be provided if asked for as they help in maintaining the quality. Fake and counterfeit products should be ban for sure as in order to earn more profit they compromise a lot on quality of goods or services they produce which can prove to be highly dangerous for its consumers. To protect this marks of quality standards should be given and checked regularly.
