What is the difference between PCN, HCN, and TCN?
PCN
1. Parent -country nationals
2. The employee is the citizen of the country in which the organization is headquartered but not where he/she is working.
3. Controlled by headquarters and international exposure is provided to the managers.
4. Takes a long time to adjust to host countries.
5. Subsidiary companies have to adopt the policies of the host country compulsorily.
HCN
1. HOST-Country nationals
2. The employee is the citizen of the country where the subsidiary is located
3. Headquarters have less control and limited global experience to their managers.
4. There is no issue with adapting as there is no language or culture barrier.
5. The host country's government may force to hire an employee from there only.
TCN
1. Third-country nationals
2. The employee is the citizen of any other country.
3. Very less control of headquarters.
4. Managers may be more familiar to host countries than parent country nationals.
5. They do not prefer neither TCNs nor PCNs.
