•Both the companies have retail business

•They have to face common threat like online store like Amazon where people can buy without visiting store and if the go for stores then wallmart and Target are better option for customers

•Both the companies are in huge debt infact they are close to bankruptcy, CEO's of both the companies are trying hard to keep up with the competition.

• Price of shares of both the companies keep falling day by day that is not good for shareholders and the company both

Dissimilarities

• Sears is a subsidiary company while Toy R Us is not a subsidiary company

•Sears is the older company than the Toy R Us as it is the newer one
