A property manager partners with the owner to maximise the return on investments of the property through effective performance management. Below are few of the management functions that a Real Estate must consider:

1. Real estate property management involves an understanding of operating expenses and budgeting. Based on this information the appropriate rental rates are set, The current market conditions also need to be considered . A firm knowledge of the area and competitive rental properties is required. Promotion, advertising and marketing strategies should also be recommended as a part of the management functions.

2. Understanding the tenant's needs is also very important a full assistance right from start to end needs to be provided. Responding to the tenants queries, collecting rent, taking care of all the amenities needed by the tenants is also very important.
