Consider a University. If you were to develop compensable factors for this institution to evaluate jobs, would you use one job evaluation plan or multiple plans? Why? What would your considerations be?
Should the University's mission be reflected in your factor? If yes, how would you do that? Are there ways that reflection might be more or less appropriate for the University's jobs?
How would employees react to this process ?

Expert Solution

Answer : it is better for the institution to choose multiple plans to develop compensable factors to evaluate jobs. it is better to choose mutiple plans because to evaluate job it is very necessary to analyse the job structure , to find out the nature of job that will be provided according to their skill and also to choose salary structure. it is very necessary to evaluate every aspects of jobs. it is useful to choose multiple plan because basically it work for large organisation. There are many things that a organisation is paying for. And accordingly pay different individual different salary. organisation have different job evaluation method for different kind of jobs suppose for clerks there will be different salary structure according to their work. compensable factors include experience level, qualification, responsibility etc. according to me any institute which are paying according to skill then they should use multiple plans. There are many factors which will help organisation to evaluate the skill , tendency of the employees and to choose their salary structure .
