Women in prehistoric period and Neolithic periods were much stronger and performed more of manual labor work. They were on equal footing with men as they performed equally important role . Various anthropological researches have compared the bone strength if women and concluded that lower parts and leg of women were not much different but upper arms of prehistoric and Neolithic women were 10% stronger than today's athlete and sportsman. This suggests that they were involved in digging, lifting heavy and other manual work that required use of upper body strength. While men has got strosger legs so they were involved in hunting and other works that require use of leg strength.
This origin has affected today's women in a way that in evolution role of women in manual labor decreased significantly that made their bones more prone to bone diseases this has resulted in women being more prone to osteoporosis.
Women donot occupy the just position. When they are capable of doing even manual labor then also their role in todaystosociety is more of soft nature that hardly involves physical strength.
