  2. How many mL/hr will you increase the oxytocin at0 530?
  3. How many mL/hr will the pump be running at 0635?

Solutions

Expert Solution

total amount of iv fiuid is 1000 ml

how many units of oxytoxin we have=20 units

what is our desired dose =2 mu/minute

DO I NEED TO CONVERT yes because the order is 2 mu and you have 20 units instead of moving decimals just use 1 divided by 1000

1000 ml [ divided by]    20 units X   1 [divided by] 1000   X 2mu [divided by] 1 hour =2000 divided by 20,000= 0.1ml

ONE hour is 60 minutes - so multiply answer to 60

0.1 X60=6ML/HOUR

ANSWER IS 6ML/hour

NOTE

HOW I GET 2000 -MULTIPLY ALL UPPER VALUES =1000 X1 X2=2000

HOW I GET 20000 - 20 X 1000 XI=20,000
