The United States is the oldest modern democracy system in the world and follows representative federal democracy through election process. The Democrats and Republicans are the two dominant parties that shapes the representative democratic system in United States.The federal government comprises of Legislative, executive and judiciary.Legislative also called U.S congress includes House of representatives and Senate. The U.S President forms the executive and judical powers are vested in supreme court and other federal courts.
In U.S , federal states enjoys higher powers and authority as compared to federal units of other countries. There is separation of power between legislative, executive and judiciary,In order to check the concentration of powers. The judicial review by supreme court is followed by many other democratic countries. The U.S President is indirectly elected by the electoral college that comprises members of federal legislative who are directly elected by citizens. The Presidential election is sometimes guided by lobbying and cooperate syndicates etc.
