Food security is the state of reliable access to an adequate number of affordable, healthy foods.
Food security is about assessing the food availability of individuals and their ability to afford them. This is also a factor where one can avoid the issue of food security as a concern for many people. Food safety is a means of access.

Food security is a multi-faceted offense. National and international political actions appear to require the identification of simple requirements that can form the basis of the set-up of targets, thus requiring the adoption of single, simple policy analysis guidelines. Something like an analysis of the “food insecurity in the world” should be done. Since food insecurity is about risk and uncertainty, a systematic analysis should include both chronic nutrition and transit, insecurity that reflects economic violence and food.

Such systematic assessments are complemented by a multidisciplinary study (MCA) for food safety. This should lead to a fair amount of comparisons, if not more. Where the focus is on investigating junk food, the association between junk food and adequate nutrition needs to be carefully examined. Other things that need to be considered are:

• sources of energy supply - taking account of, for example, of different foods, the tendency to procure food from livelihoods to markets;
• climate change as a source of pressure fluctuations and short-term diet;
• Health status, and especially changes in infectious disease conditions, is clearly HIV / AIDS;
• geographical distribution of poverty and food insecurity, evidence-based risk assessment and map support supported by the Food Information and Vulnerability Mapping Systems (FIVIMS), FAO and World Food Program (WFP) identification process.

It is sometimes suggested that there should be a detailed use of Sen's merit creation. If this would have included rewriting the indicators of nutritional requirements as appropriate, it would have been less helpful than, for example, attributing the relevant deficiencies to the formal MCA.
