If 1,3-BPG is used as a substrate for gluconeogenesis, how many NTP molecules does it cost to make one glucose residue in glycogen in this cell? Which NTP?
1, 3 BPG will enter in to gluconeogenesis at level of glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase.
That will cause 4 ATP molecules utilization in incorporation of 1 glucose molecule in glycogen.
Utilization of 2 NADH in conversion of 1, 3 bis phospho glycerol to glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate.
1ATP form during PFK reaction
ATP FORMED ( 5-1) = total 4 ATP will be utilized
Here calculate 1 NADH = 2.5 ATP
