WALMART the gaint retailer chain patenting this kind of service - runaway shopping cart was a good initiative as far as my view is concerned . Generally things will be advanced as the days go further , i would take it as one more advancement rather than exaggerating that as some thing very new.

EXPLANATION : These days technology makes everything possible . With the advancements we are seeing in the field of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE every thing was becoming achievable . Walmart implementation of this new service is very needed for those type of huge stores . It was useful because :

1) The area of the retail outlets are huge.

2) Pulling the cart becomes very easy.

3) Don't have care about weight of the cart.

4) Time and effort will be surely reduced.

5) People will enjoy shopping.

OTHER RETAILERS :

Other retailers also can make these type of new systems to their esteemed customers but, they may have these issues :

1) Spacing

2) No large customers base

3) New costs for the outlet

4) Some business days halted due to installation.
