As you’ve learned, “cause marketing” ties the charitable contributions of an organization directly to sales produced through the promotion of one of its products. Research shows that consumers are much more likely to purchase products that align with a cause they support (provided that product quality and price points are similar). Give some thought to causes that are important to you. Describe two (2) specific products you buy, or would be willing to buy, based on the cause you support and why.
answer-
Cause marketing is very important concept of marketing which can help a company to be social as well as make some profit. Businesses doing cause based marketing can benefit society and improve their image in minds of customers.
For me, the most important causes are Education of children especially girls, treatment of disable children, Health related causes like AIDS, Food and shelter for poor ones, Stopping the Violence like gun violence and drug abuse in our society and making environment safe and clean. These are the most important causes because they show the greater scope of making society a good place and to what extent an organization is able to benefit them by their cause marketing initiatives.
The first product i would be willing to buy from TOMS shoe company like shoes because This company has business model of One for One in which Company donate one pair of shoes on every purchase of shoes by its customers. Company has donated millions of shoes, treatment of thounsands of children suffering from cancer and eye disease and donated millions to stop Gun violence.
The second product would be starbucks coffee because Company had program where Company donate some fraction percentage of its income to charities and helping children education and other causes. Company also purchase its coffee directly from coffee farmers and pay them more than fair compensation so that poor farmers can earn their bread and butter and improve thier standard of living.Satrbucks also has RED program where Starbucks donates five cents from the sale of each beverage on World Aids Day to Product (RED).
