Rosalind Franklin was a key contributor to the discovery of the structure of DNA. Franklin performed research in an X-ray crystallography laboratory, and was the first to obtain an image of the “double helix”. She died of cancer in 1958. In 1962, the Nobel Prize was awarded to three of her male colleagues for the discovery of DNA, with no mention of Rosalind Franklin. Would she have been recognized with Watson, Crick, and Wilkins, for the Nobel Prize if she were a male? Discuss the perception of women in science today compared to the 1950’s.
The Roselind Franklin's and Wilkins both are working at the King college London Franklin's has independently worked on the X rays diffraction of DNA She had succeeed to obtained the X-ray diffraction data of DNA.She saw that Diameter of DNA is uniform and they are helically arranged.Wilkins was the friends of Watson and Crick. He has stolen the data of Franklin's after her death provides to both .On this basis structure of B-DNA has to be confirmed . Is a matter of stealing and supression of intellects definately. At that time matter racism and least social and political platform was present .However law favours but it requires some struggle by appropriate activist and deciplinary system. Now a days days s media reaches to the pocket of each people in the form of mobile and tab and laptop ,journalism is also afvances,.Lot of citation, judgement to save right has to be appeared So I think that every social or scientific work has to be open in public domain. So at this days there is a least chances of any voilance with any popular intelectual personality ,but personal ethical efforts is essential at his own capacity.
