how do i construct a scatterplot if L1 lists negative values and L2 has values such as 0.00339156, 0.00326318, 0.00313725 ? Do i enter the L2 values as exponents??
Scatterplot is a two way mathematical plot used to display points. Here is a two variable Cartesian coordinate represented by (x,y) . It is used to represents the linear relationship between the variable. With the help of linear relationship the correlation between the variable one can easily depict the correlation between them. Correlation can be positive or negative . Therefore two cases arises-
1. Nature of variable x is same as variable y.
2. Nature of variable x is reverse of the variable y.
If X and y both are positive then its scatter plot can be easily obtained which lie in first quadrant.
If we have L1 and L2 as a two variable in which L1 has negative values and L2 has positive values. Then their scatterplot lies in the second quadrant . However there is effect on plot for negative L1. The only difference is it lies in the negative side of X axis . However, it is not easy to analyse such scatterplot so one can use exponential and the data can be transformed as
Then the analysis is done by the scatterplot between a and b
Here we have taken one example with x=(-1,-4,-9) and their scatterplot is given below.
. In the above circle (o) represents coordinate value.
And - You can enter both with exponent . Exponent of only one can be misleading.
