The rate at which a certain drug is eliminated by the body follows first-order kinetics, with a half life of 77 minutes. Suppose in a particular patient the concentration of this drug in the bloodstream immediately after injection is 1.1microg/ml . What will the concentration be minutes 231 later? Round your answer to 2 significant digits.
This is for 1st order kinetic : reaction whose rate constant (K) depends only on concentration of one reactant.
in this example half life is given 77 minutes and initial conc. 1.1 microg/ml
ans is to be given having 2 sig figures
can be solved by formula for half life or even logically.
I have solved by both methods.
Final ans is : 0.14 microg/ml concentration of drug after 231 minutes.
