Judy Example |
Anxiety |
Behavioral: Systematic Desensitization |
Judy traveled frequently, and because she experienced extreme turbulence on one trip that made her feel as if the plane could crash, she now refuses to fly. For shorter trips she drives her car. For longer trips, she takes trains, and even boats, to her destinations. Even at the thought of taking a flight she has an increased heart rate, palpitations, feels sick, shakes, sweats, has a dry mouth, chest pains, a 'knot in the stomach', and fast breathing. |
