Would you call yourself a utopian or a luddite when it comes to thinking about the impact of workplace communication technologies? Defend your response.
I would call myself as Luddite.
Every day I read more about Artificial Intelligence and how technology is changing our world. Luddites were not fearful of technology, instead they were skilled artisans who relied on technology. They were experiencing business process, staffing, and economic disruptions associated with the use of technology.
Many technologies demonstrating the future of construction and switch to electronic with automation demonstrate the power and potential of robots and their impacts on businesses and society. Machines play creative grip while Google Translates machine learning is reinventing what we know about computing. It appears that humans are not the only ones thinking creatively.
I enthusiastically embrace technology and this ginormous change. I enjoy looking around corners, designing integrated process, staffing, and technical solutions to business challenges, and enhancing legal service delivery.
I am a Luddite because I want to discuss and plan ahead for expected workforce impacts as changes in profession, organizations, businesses, and society.
