Do hypothesis testing (t test)
Test to see if there is a difference between grade of male and female students - insert the SPSS output in the space below.
a- What would be the alternate hypothesis for the study?
b- What would be the null hypothesis?
c- What Level of Significance do you choose?
d- What is the computed t critical value for the study?
e- What is the P-value of the test?
f- What is the conclusion?
| Gender | Grade | Ehicity |

a) The alternate hypothesis for the study is:
H1: There is a significant difference between mean grade of male and female students.
b) The null hypothesis is:
H0: There is no significant difference between mean grade of male and female students.
c) The Level of Significance is 0.05
d) The computed t critical value for the study is 0.632
e) The P-value of the test is 0.531
f) Conclusion: The p-value of t test is greater than 0.05. Hence we accept null hypothesis at 5% level of significance and conclude that there is no significant difference between mean grade of male and female students
