Please describe in cancer research what the limitations of sequencing whole genomes are. What is the goal of sequencing and the challenge of sequencing? What tools can be used to increase the effectiveness of sequencing? Do you agree/disagree with the following statement and why: It will be discovered that cancer is a disease that is caused by disruptions in a small number of molecular pathways?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Limitations of whole genome Sequencing: genome Sequencing is a tedious process, requires more time to proceed, it is a Sequencing of complete genome so we can say high chances of error occurred.

they are various procedure for whole genome Sequencing but almost all are very costly.

As the time and development increases the cost also increasing which leads to less is suitable for whole genome Sequencing option.

it requires more expert for analysis of accurate results and result interpretation.

goal and challenges of Sequencing: the goal of Sequencing is to determine the sequence of genes and genome which directly contribute to organism's life.

By the process of Sequencing we will get the complete sequence of gene and nongene part of any organism. Through the analysis of genes we can determine the associated functions and all of the processes. By analysing genes we can control various issues like disease, health related issues, production of biological components and various other process.

For the effectiveness enhancement in Sequencing more required sample are required with more handling accuracy.

it is a very tedious process which requires high knowledge and experts.

Yes I agree that cancer is a disease which is caused by instruments in normal Pathways of cells.

cancer is a in regular growth of cells which leads to formation of tumor. Normally the growth of cell is controlled by various proteins and genes, which regulates number of cell division in particular duration and error detection. Generally this process was normally but when it get disturbance due to internal and external factors the process of regulation is affected which leads to a regular growth of cell or cancer.

for example proto oncogenes are generally involved in the regulation of cell division and mutation in proto-oncogenes lead to formation of oncogenes which are cancer causing elements.

Tumor suppressor gene p53 generally involved in the tumors operation but abnormality or mutation leads to lost of controlling capacity.
