Functions of managers are as follow:
-planning: planning involves steps on how to achieve a particular goal. Without a plan, a manager has nothing to tell its team about its goals and procedures to be followed.
-organizing: once the plan is at a place, a manager needs to hold the team and other resources according to the program. Thus, assigning the work and granting authorities are two crucial elements of organizing.
-staffing: The manager also needs to focus on recruiting, selecting, training, developing the employees that are the vital part while achieving the goals.
-Leading: a manager needs to be a leader so that employees can follow the leader and get motivated while achieving the goals. A manager needs to be influential for the organization.
-controlling: controlling is the last function of the manager. A manager takes corrective measures in the activities of employees or subordinates to accomplish goals according to plan.
The role of the manager is interrelated related to the functions of the manager as by using the services, the manager works to increase the effectiveness and efficiency to help the employees, organization, projects. Good manager gives the best to the organization by mastering the five essential functions; planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling.
The role of a manager is describe in three categories; informational, interpersonal, and seasonal. The informational part of the manager includes receiving information, forwarding the information to other organization members. The interpersonal role includes directing and motivating subordinates, and trainers like keeping it got to close communication with employees. The manager's deciding role consists of taking corrective actions during disputes, representing their departments, improving the project, and implementing new ideas.
