Expert Solution

Answer:(1&2) Yes i did negotiate my salary at my current position and i was successful in my endeavour.Truth is whatever i say in my request never makes much difference.Although, my Boss liked my work and social skills (atleast i think so) but its very diffiicult to raise your salary before appraisal.

Things i did here was grab an oppotunity outside, and then show my offer letter to my Boss.My boss doesn't want me to leave his team as i was valuable resource to him.And though he didn't me salary raise at that time but he promised me(and announced in front of whole team) that i will be promoted for my good work in next financial year.By default, i also get salary hike because of promotion.
