In today's world we are continuously witnessing the instances of computer fraud which happens in various forms. So, we need to have knowledge of the concept of computer fraud and also the ways we should mitigate the same.

These Crimes use computer network or devices, and their ends may include fraud and identity theft. The unauthorised access may happen in a user's personal computer or in the workplace. Art of using the computer to capture or alter electronic data or to gain unlawful access to the electronic data is computer fraud.

The computer fraud is not always associated with stealing money or gaining any relevant information. Sometimes it is seen that computer fraud is done by an individual or group of individuals just to reduce the FAME/GOODWILL of the organisation. Also we have seen that, computer fraud is done by individual just for the sake of fun, which actually hampers the organisation very drastically.
