To create a need, the message content has to show/share the
value of the product/service being advertised?
Customers are the lifeline of any business enterprise and It is important to know your customer needs and wants. Whenever you are in contact with the customers you need to be attentive, in order to understand them well. Understanding a customer is important to give them a good service which in turn results into a strong customer relationships as well as a new lead.
There are three main ways to understand your customers better:
a. Contact with your customer through meetings, visits, phone calls, deliveries etc.Understanding the customer and improving your service must be a priority in your business. Sometimes you can also offer a personal service through which you can also improve your relationship .

Customer relationship management system contains valuable information of your customers which will help to understand their needs.CRM systems are more helpfull than simple mailing lists as they contain information about customer behaviour and preferences which can improve customer satisfaction and retention.
c. Next you can do is that you can Conduct a customer satisfaction survey through which you can get many valuable information.
