01. Carrier gas

It functions as mobile phase in the gas chromatography and pushes the analyte further into the column for the seperating process  

02.gas flow regulator

Used to control the speed at which the mobile phase which is carrier gas flows through the system and it can control the retention time as long

03.oven

It is a temperature control box where the column is placed the temperature of the column is maintained using this column for the chromatography process

04. Injector port

The area from where the sample is injected in the system

05. Column

It is a coil shaped column having capillary sized tube inside from which the sample flows with the help of carrier gas

The main process of seperating happens in this column

06. Detector

Detects the seperated components of the mixture

07.data analysis unit

The raw data from the system is converted in to simple graphs to study the mixture further
