a. It is a biased sample because only employees are being surveyed and not the employers. Usually in this situation an in depth understanding is needed about the place. Someone working in a place will not view it objectively. They will have their biases according to the treatment they receive from the employer. Each employees response can vary as they will only think for themselves, not the treatment that others receive.
i. Social desirability - As the responses will be shared publicly, it is difficult to be honest.
ii. Those who choose to be honest will fear that they may be reprimanded if their responses are not in sync with the employers expectations.
b. i. Choosing from different restaurants at random can be done through Stratified Random Sampling.
ii. The population will be divided into sub populations and since only one hotel is not being targeted , it will be easy to collect ample data.
The process can be made anonymous , this way if responses are not made public , individuals will be more honest.
