3.2.There are many stakeholders that you need to deal with during this covid-19. What type of leadership do you believe would be the most effective?
Answer: I feel that transformational style of leadership is most effective in dealing with the Covid-19 where dealing with multiple stakeholders is required. For dealing with the multiple stakeholders and balancing their interests it is required that leaders need to demonstrate the skills like individualized consideration, idealized influence, inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation which are found in transformational leaders. These skills can help the leader to identify the stakeholders, understand the problems faced by the various stakeholders, develop innovative solution and motivate the people to follow the protocols required for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Handling the situation of COVID-19 requires that all the stakeholders work together and change their older behaviors. The transformational leaders can help in enabling such change and motivating others to change. Transformational leadership creates engagement and enables both followers and the leaders to work together to fight with the complex problems like the COVID-19. Hence transformational leadership will be most suitable in this case.
