Injury also known as trauma is any form of damage caused to the body due to any form of external force. Injury is caused by a lot of factors and some of those factors happen surprisingly. Even falling on ground due to some mishap during walking can also cause damage to the tissues of body. Lets classify those factors causing or creating risk of injury into 3 categories :
1) Physical factors - These are those factors that create risk of injury by some physical means. These factors cause injury in the form of wounds, fracture and dislocation of ligaments. It includes falling, accident, hits, weapons and mishap during walking, running, playing and exercising.
Chemical factors - These are those factors that create risk of injury by some toxic agents and chemicals. These factors cause injury in the form of burns, mental instability and cancer. It includes tobacco smoking, tobacco chewing, acids, toxins, poison and drugs.
Radiant factors - These are those factors that create risk of injury by any form of dangerous radiation. These factors cause injury in the form of skin problem, uneasiness and cancer. It includes cosmic rays, UV rays, gamma rays and other radiations.
