Mobile phones , Hearing aids, Vision devices , taste devices
etc are examples of technology that have extended our senses.
Use of mobile / smart phones made us easy to communicate with
other in no time . More over use of smart phones make us know
information surrounding us instantly.
Our ears hear only sounds that are in a particular frequency .
If the sound is lesser or greater than the specific frequency , we
are unable to hear sound . Certain devices are developed inorder to
hear those sounds that are inaudible.
Vision aids - Similarly our eyes are unable to see objects in
very low light and very bright light . Certain devices Night sight
detectors , X-ray telescopes, Radio telescopes are developed to see
objects which human eye cannot see normally.
Advantages
Devices like smelling devices, vision aids and Hearing devices
help us to smell / see/ hear beyond our senses.
These devices are used in resaerch purposes for studying /
seeing particular objects during research.
Disadvantages
The rays emitted by these devices affects the individuals who
uses it . Constant exposure to these devices causes neurological
disorders .
For eg , A vision aid , using X -ray causes series
complications in the individual and the surrounding people /
animals who are in near sight.
Similarly microphones using certain radiations causes
complications in the user .
Using specific examples found in the special senses, describe
the difference between chemoreceptors and mechanoreceptors. What
stimuli do each respond to and how do they transduce this stimuli
into an action potential?

It can be in any area... medicine/health, space exploration,
robotics, food, etc.
