Read the following scenario, and answer the question as completely as possible.
A driver accidentally backs his car into a man's leg above the knee. The man falls to the ground, yelling in pain; he then becomes confused, and has cool, clammy, and pale skin. What should you do?
First the casualty should be removed from the site of accident. Transfer the casualty with proper care. The injured leg should be hold properly during transfer from the site of accident to safe place. Assess for CAB means circulation, airway, breathing. Then we have to ask the patient for his name to check his state of consciousness & to make him feel stable. Then assess the injured leg for any open wound, bleeding or fracture. As per the given case if the casualty has a cool, clamy & pale skin then immediately assess for shock. Assess for any sign of injury to the spinal cord & call for ambulance. Transfer the casualty to the ambulance with immobilizing the affected injured leg. Until the ambulance reaches lay the casualty on a flat surface, provide warmth & fresh air ventilation, remove any constriction present like belt or watch or any ornament & do not move the casualty repeatedly if not necessary.
