Physical examination is a routine test which is performed by primery care provider (PCP) to check overall health of a person. A PCP may be a doctor, a nurse, or a physician assistant. The exam is also known as wellness check.Benifits of physiacl examination is as follows-
*The physical exam can be a good time to ask your PCP questions about your health or discuss any changes or problems that you have noticed.
*It will allow check of possible diseases so that they can be treated early.
*It will identify any issue that may become medical concerns in the future.
*It will help in updating necessory immunisation.

As a physical examinar I will explain these benifits to patients is very simple language as-
I will tell to the patient that these type of routine check-ups will help in maintaining good health. It will prevent diseases, because prevention is better than caure. When a disesase happens it may be a serious problem both economically as well as physically but regular physical examination can protect you and your relatives from harmful diseases.
Complete physical examination is the method of examination in which whole body is tested. This type of examinatin involves general physical examination by physician. This type of examination is same for all persons and is geneally applied to all non-diseased persons.
Focussed physical examination is the method which is applied only after observing family of disease history of a person. This type of examination involves checking specific signs of disease in requested body part or system. For example- a complete cardiovascular examination will include examinatin of legs for peripheral pulses and odema as well as opthalmoscopy for cardiac retaed changes for others.
