Thinking back over this course, what were the three most important or most interesting things you learned? How do you envision using the information you learned in your future nursing practice? What steps will you take to ensure your success in the master's program?
As part of my general education requirements, I lived in a developing central American country for 3 months and 2 weeks. I had to communicate in Spanish, I studied language and culture for the first half, and did service work for the second half. We were placed with individual families and had to get ourselves around. I learned to respect another culture, I learned how hard it is to be obviously different, to not speak your native language and to be very far from home.
That is the most important thing I learned in college.
Nurses should achieve higher levels of education and training through an improved education system that promotes seamless academic progression. Nurses should be full partners, with physicians and other health professionals, in redesigning healthcare in the United States.
The intended effect of EBP is to standardize healthcare practices to science and best evidence and to reduce illogical variation in care, which is known to produce unpredictable health outcomes. Development of evidence-based practice is fueled by the increasing public and professional demand for accountability.
The primary purpose of the nursing process is to help nurses manage each patient's care holistically, scientifically, and creatively. This is a personalized holistic approach involving the patient as a whole, individually.
This degree is beneficial for many different reasons, and outside of the glamorous benefits of making more money and earning a better job, a master's in nursing degree can also make you a better nurse and health professional overall with the knowledge and skills you will gain from your education.

Successful nursing students are driven and goal-oriented. They realize that in order to stay motivated, they must set goals for themselves. For example, they may have the goal to increase their career options, provide for their family or make a positive impact in the lives of their patients.
