Sushon phones were introduced into the Ghanaian market in December, 2017. Despite the many claims that were made by Trust Electronics, the distributors of the phones, it has become clear that there are quality issues with the equipment.
(b) Describe seven (7) ways by which the manufacturers of the phones can improve
their reliability.
(c) Discuss any four (4) consequences that Trust Electronics may face if they fail to improve the quality of their phones.
1. INTRODUCTION
In this project question I have to find out the quality parameters of Sushon phones. Basically Sushon phones were introduced into the Ghanaian market in December, 2017. Despite the many claims that were made by Trust Electronics, the distributors of the phones, it has become clear that there are quality issues with the equipment.
2. CHALLENGES FACED BY ORGANIZATION
After understanding the dimensions of quality, some of the challenges that the phones may be facing in terms of their quality are given as follows -
1. Network problem is one of the major challenges in term of the quality dimension of the Sushon phones. After understanding the given case study we can say that, most of the users of this phone facing the network problem issues.
2. Another challenge of the Sushon phones is its cost. Most of the customers are not able to afford the costly products.
3. Security is also one of the man challenge for the Sushon phones. Because now customers are more concerned about the privacy and security.
4. Cyber-crime and data theft is also one of the major challenge for the Sushon phones. Because various smartphone organizations are facing this problem as cyber-crimes increasing rapidly.
5. Features of the smartphones are increasing day by day so it became a challenge for the organization to have all the required features in one phone.
6. Strategies of the other organization can be treated as one of the major challenge for the smartphone companies. Because each and every organization is working on its strategies.
7. Organizations are highly affected by the competitors' move so it can be treated as one of the major challenge for the organization.
8. Concern for the environment is also one of the most important challenges for the smartphone companies because now all the organizations are working according to the environmental norms and policies.
3. WAYS TO IMPROVE RELIABILITY
Organization can improve its reliability in many ways. Some of the ways by which the manufacturers of the phones can improve their reliability are given as follows -
1. By providing services as per the requirements of the target market organization can gain customer loyalty which results in reliability.
2. Company can take the feedback of its customers on the products. It help the organization in improving reliability.
3. If organization work according to the concern for the environment then it will help in improving customer reliability.
4. Organization should find out the network issues of the customers then proper effective measure should be taken for the improvements.
5. Complaints of the customers should be handled by the company effectively because it will improve reliability.
6. Price of the product should be decided by the organization according to the purchasing power of the target market it helps in improving reliability.
7. Organization should advertise the product with effective medium because it helps the organization to improve the reliability of the products.
4. CONSEQUENCES
If organization fails fail to improve the quality of their phones then it may face some consequences. Some of them are given as follows -
1. If organization fails in quality improvement then it can lost the target market and most of the customers can switch to other brands.
2. If organization fails to improve the quality of their phones then there are chances, that organization can lose the competitive advantage.
3. Financial loss can be faced by the company if organization fails to improve the quality of their phones because customers will not purchase the products of this company.
4. If company will not provide quality products to its customers then survival of the organization in the market became difficult.
