2. An author's purpose or goal is their reason for writing a work. Based on a literal reading of your selected article, what do you believe is the author's purpose? How did you arrive at that decision?
3. Key points are pieces of evidence that support the author's purpose. In your selected article, what are three key points that support the author's purpose that you identified in this reading? How do those key points support it?
4. An author's audience is the group (or groups) of people being addressed in the reading. What audience do you believe the author is writing for in your selected article? What potential challenges does the author face when addressing their purpose with this audience?
Answer (2): Author purpose was to make his audience aware about importance of higher education and hard working. After sometime author goal changed and that time author want to tell about stable career can be made by getting proper education and doing hard work. Author also explain essence of investment in higher education. And also tell audience that lessons are learnt in college as well as workplace.
Answer (3): First key point was struggle of author with reality of blue collar worker wage as compare to life that can be different by degreed professional.
Second key point was author felt guilty of continuing blue collar job in order to fulfil financial needs.
Third key point was sharing experience by author with maturity and attained growth by hard working in order to fulfil dreams and increase wealth in form of money.
Above key points supports author purpose in which author explains that how higher education and hardwork could help an individual in attaining economic development.
Answer (4) Audience includes high schools graduation students having age between 17-19 years for whom author is writing above article.
Potential challanges faced by author while addressing there purpose with audience :
(a) If audience do not believe on evidence presented and argue with the interpretation in support of author goal.
(b) Adequate content in order to support the argument reasoning and presenting to particular audience.
(c) Engaging to young adults with little or no financial responsibility or getting experience by living away from parents.
