Dubois' Double Consciousness means the feelings that we have more than one identity such that individuals identity is divided into various facet. Ultimately it makes difficult to develop a sense of self. Basically, it deals with looking at someone by the eyes of others due to which we develop two peculiar sensation or two different sense for that person, thus it is called double consciousness.
