The most common three group models used for grief are---
- Interpersonal group models- it includes an interpersonal
approach. It motivates and facilitates the process of grieving and
helps in regaining the common interest of an individual. Also, work
on the relationship of an individual. active participation of the
client is the key as he is asked to explore his feelings and
encouraged to discuss the sequence of events. this helps in
draining out the negative thoughts and grief out of the
client.
- Cognitive-behavioral group models:-it works on releasing the
grief and negative feelings through writing a discussion on a
common theme. hair individual learns about dealing with his
thoughts and finds alternative ways of thinking.it also includes
stress management and coping skills for better results.
- Psychodynamic group models:-self introduction of depressive
symptoms and target problem directly. it has a deep impact on
individuals' thinking and feelings and is used for severe grieving
events it has a holistic approach to increasing self-esteem, life
satisfaction, social support, and confidence.
