Solutions

Expert Solution

Briefly describe the research design or study approach used in this case

-Analytical study

- study design Cohort study that is prosective cohort study

- those who get the disease are the case and those without the disease is control, both group should be given the same healthy habits

State a directional research hypothesis using only one independent and one dependent variable

-those with flu will be given medication irrespective of the habits,

independant variable :- is the medication treatment

dependant variable:-active medication or placebo

State a nondirectional research hypothesis using only one independent and one dependent variable.

- those with increased age group is susceptible to the disease

dependant variable:- susceptible

independant variable is age

State the null hypothesis

there is no relation ship between healthy habits and occurence of flu

What is the unit of analysis for the study?

-exposure rates:- percentage

-odds ratio
